There’s a Wilco-themed Sandwich Shop

Posted in music, news by lounatik on March 5, 2010

Oh wow, these are two of my favorite things in one space. According to Best of Toronto, a jovial entreprenuer Chad Comfort—I am loving his name by the way—opened Sky Blue Sky Sandwich company. It is a Wilco-themed sandwich place in Toronto, with sandwiches named after Wilco songs.

This is awesome. I was looking at the menu and off the bat I’d like an order of “She’s a Jar” (Yummy almond butter spread on slices of our special honey-nut whole wheat bread. Topped with bananas and sprinkled with cinnamon)  “Side with the Seeds” (Roasted tomatoes caramelized onions and mushrooms served with a slice of cheddar cheese on our very own three cheese bread);

“Red-eyed and Blue” (A thick slice of mozzarella topped with tomato, sweet onion, and sprinkled with basil leaves. On white or brown bread toasted to your liking and spread with wasabi mayo)  and “Someday Some Morning Sometime” (Apples granola cream cheese and brown sugar served on an english muffin).

Oh wow. This is making me very hungry. I love Wilco! I love sandwiches! And you know, one of my dreams before was to have a sandwich shop. So Go Chad Comfort! I’m liking you already.
