Couch Patatas!
(photos from skonhem)
There’s a good side to this whole hospital thing: free wi-fi and enough time to catch up with TV. In fact, I’ve been spending copious amounts of time watching TV. There are down times of course, but HBO’s Friday sked (Clueless, King Ralph, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Pineapple Express, to name a few) was as a winner as the couches pictured above.
I am specially loving the blue with the yellow picture in the first picture. So lovely! And with the AC, I bet it’s perfectly comfortable. (W/o AC, that may be a different story all together) Wish the hospital had those in the room. hehe
Moving on, I love skonahem!
Ricky Gervais Rocks
Dear Ricky Gervais,
I thought I should let you know how much I love, love, love your work. Including Shauna Dancing. I finally finished watching The Extras last night- on pirated DVD, i’m sorry to say. But that’s cause we never get anything decent on TV here.
I thought it was brilliant! I thought it so great that can’t even think of my favorite episode! I think my seeing it inebriated is partly the reason not to mention the thick accent, too but still. I liked how after all the laughs and the cameos, you went postmodern on us. And then after you copped out, going postmodern and intellectual, how it gave me a nice nippy feeling. That even if things changed, even if the characters grew up and became adults, they remained friends.
That’s the thing with real life, no? Sometimes, people change so much that friends cease to be friends. Or, life molds and mends people so much that they become strangers to each other after everything. Thank you for reminding me that everything is just a laugh away. You rock.
Your The Office rocks, too. As my friend said “the US version doesn’t hold a candle” to your original. Singer-songwriter? Mwahahaha

I want humor instead
Senator Revilla, OA, man.
1. Threatening Alec Baldwin for a joke? Exagg ha.
Pinoys are said to be good at finding humor at everything. Why can’t we find any humor in this? And from the man from one of the funniest shows, 30 rock?
2. Bringing to senate the sex video scandal issue. Don’t you have anything better to do? I mean, sure, sure that’s quite sick. But to bring this whole shenanigan to senate? And by a man who doesn’t exactly paint the clearest picture of morality. Something smells election-fishy.
Again, Filipinos are said to be good at finding humor at everything. Objectively speaking, I think KHalili can get through something as grave as this if only she displayed a good measure of humor. Of course, I wouldn’t know the hurt and the shame such a scandal can cause a woman. But if only she can step back from everything–from herself, from her emotions, from her colored intellect–and see that with a littl humor, she won’t just get pass through this crisis, she’ll even get pass through her current image of being just a sexy star. Isn’t that what sexy stars aspire for? Isn’t this disrobing just a stepping stone for the real talent they wanna share?
As Kurt Vonnegut advocates: don’t take life too seriously.
