Portishead working on new stuff

Yay! Geoff Barrow tells BBC they’re about to start writing materials for the new record, which may be released by next year. They’re currently label-less but that doesn’t stop them from having “big plans” for it. According to Pitchfork, of course.

I love Radiohe—I mean Portishead. I love Portishead!

On Radiohead’s blog, Thom informs about a fun band he’s put up with a bunch of random people, such as…FLEA! Yes! Flea! of Chilli Peppers! He writes: “in the past couple of weeks i’ve been getting a band together for fun to play the eraser stuff live and the new songs etc.. to see if it could work!”
