2010 will be grrreat
And so more evidence that the coming year will be awesome: Jonsi of Sigur Ros will be coming out with a solo record next year, March to be exact. Wowohwowohwow. According to Pitchfork, there’ll be 9 songs on Go, which will be available come March 23. If you want a preview, swing by his website!
So that’ll be: Singapore in January, Massive Attack inĀ Febuary, and Jonsi in March. Then there’s Portishead, too, and if all goes well, Radiohead…? If that’s not noice, I don’t know what is.
Also in 2010: I will have my lay.
Hey
Kurt Vonnegut was right. To combat loneliness, we need our families. Extended, actually, is preferred. And so, taking on the suggestion of the master, I decided to start another blog. That’s where I’ll post anything and everything family. About my own or otherwise.
It’s a slow-burn. Posts come in slower but they come in longer, too. And hopefully, they’re more engaging. Like a good fuck, say?
Anyway, please, come visit. Click here!
Monday Morning Music Goodness
Some Radiohead-related news to brighten up your Monday morning. According to Pitchfork, Thom Yorke held a “public rehearsal” in LA over the weekend where he debuted three new songs. Yippity, I know.
Check out the videos below:
Personally, I like the second one, “Skirting on the Surface” best. But you know, it’s really not up to me now, is it? I just love how there’s an abundance of Radiohead-related goodness going around the world right now.
Congrats Roger!
I knew you could do it. I knew you’d win. I love you. and am i proud, proud, proud!!!
I promised myself i’d remember some of your most beautiful moments. of course i can’t remember any of them now. what i do remember is feeling awed by you. you weren’t just playing tennis. you weren’t just playing soderling. you were playing with the ball, with the wind, with the lines, with my emotions.
you were dancing, Roger, oh so gracefully dancing. the way you do your backhands, the way you move in the clay, the way you command the ball so that it lands just within the line, or right down to it. It’s more than beautiful, Roger. It’s poetic.
You could have had this sooner but it makes perfect sense for you to win your 14th at Roland Garros, no? What could be more beautiful? What could be more fateful?
So lemme end by saying: I love you. teehee
